The Farm

Our History

Simmermon Farms, Inc. resides in Lapel, Indiana. The farm became a corporation in 1967 on the 5th of June. The corporation was made up of four major stockholders consisting of Bill and Betty Simmermon and Barbara (Simmermon) and Dan Fisher. Simmermon Farms however, is a 7 generation farm dating back to the early 1800’s.

Bill and Betty had three children: Teresa, John (the current President) and Amy while Barbara and Dan had a daughter Nancy. John returned from Purdue with an Agriculture Economics degree in 1978 and started working alongside Bill until becoming President in 1984. Bill attended Indiana University so you can only imagine the Purdue vs. Indiana ballgame discussions.
